In PC Magazine's upcoming May 8th issue they have listed the top 10 most commonly used passwords online. So in case you are using any one of them change it ASAP.

if you ask me, there is a simple way to get a easy to remember and hard to crack password.
just use a word you like and do the following steps,
1) Replace the vowels in the word with the characters that are linked to the word.
A=@
E=3
I=1
O=()
U=you
2)Get your day of birth(1-31), press and hold on to alt and type in your day of birth. Now release the Alt button. You should now see a special character that no dictionary attack will ever guess. Do this for your month of birth and year(the last 2 characters only) too
eg
Old password= Todaysten
DOB: 15.10.83
after step1: T()d@yst3n
after step2:T()d@yst3n☼◙S
There it is, a simple secure password that you will remember. Don;t worry, I never ever use that as my password ever.

You'll need NumLock on to make the Alt numeric approach work. Also, this requires entry via the numeric keypad rather than the number keys at the top of the keyboard.
