(ex. 100 miles) This way you create actual competition and whoever will give you the lowest price sells you the car. You are far more likely to get a low price that way, bc sometimes it is to the dealer's advantage just to sell the car to make the manufacturer happy (and thus send them better cars) even if he is making much less profit than he usually would. The dealership refused to budge on the selling price stating it's just "dollars" over their cost. Even after several talks with the manager, they could not come down ANY lower. So we got up to leave. For example, mattress sellers.  They advertise a price match, but the manufacturer gives each seller a different ID number for identical (or near identical mattresses), making it impossible to price match.
